We've made it o Long Beach Alliance Church for the night with only one traveling hicup. One of surburbans had a tire issue that set 1/3 of our team 2 hours behind the rest of us. They have done an amazing job being flexible and positive amidst what is definetly going to be a longer day for them. We'll roll out tomorrow morning at about 9:30 to give our late team some extra sleep time and then we'lll be crossing the border about 12:30, right after lunch. Right now, as far as I can tell, students may be a recover from sitting in van for 10 hours but are having a great time, being that we can't get them to go to sleep right now even though the staff is really tired.
I and Kelly have recieved a number of phone calls while on the road today asking about the earthquake that occured in Mexicali this afternoon. We've talked to the missionary who we are teaming with who has given us a report from Ensenada. All is well in Ensenada and the route we will be traveling. They are over 100 miles away from where the quake was and felt some "waves" but there was no damage to the city and surrounding area. They felt something similar to what was felt in San Diego and Los Angeles. Rick has a given us a good report and we are a "GO" for tomorrow. The next post will be from Ensenada! Please pray for our passage over the border and into the city of Ensenada.

Praying for a safe journey across the border. Very thankful for Blog. Thanks for keeping everyone up to date.
Great to hear that the journey was relatively uneventful! We have been praying and will continue to pray as you all cross the border. Vayan con Dios!
So glad to know that all is going well, Thank you for the updates. We figured your phones were ringing like crazy last night. We hope and pray that the crossing went well today and that all the vehicular malfunctions are now behind you. The Lord Bless and keep you as you serve! P.S. Please give Lauren W. a message. Emma helped herself to most of Katie's Easter basket. (she is fine)
Servando Bien!!
